PowerPhotonic will attend the sixth ‘Arizona Photonics Days’ conference in Tucson, Arizona, from January 25th to 27th, immediately before the Photonics West exhibition in San Francisco. PowerPhotonic was personally invited by ‘Optics Valley’, a committee of the Arizona Technology Council representing the photonics cluster in Arizona. The invitation follows the establishment of PowerPhotonic’s new, manufacturing facility in Sahuarita, Southern Arizona, where it designs and manufactures precision, wafer-scale optics for US defence and other global, photonics markets.
Mark McElhinney, CEO of PowerPhotonic Inc., said, “PowerPhotonic is pleased to support the Arizona Photonics Days conference, where we are a Silver Sponsor. The conference is focused on expanding the scope of photonics technologies in sensing and metrology; astronomy; laser technology; quantum; glass and ceramics; and bio-medics – all markets which benefit from our optics. We will join other business leaders, academics, scientists and engineers from the Arizona photonics cluster to share technical presentations, discuss the market, and look at collaborative business opportunities.”
The Arizona Photonics Days conference is also supported by the Global Photonics Alliance and Tech Parks Arizona. The Global Photonics Alliance facilitates communication, commercial opportunities and a common voice for optics and photonics clusters around the world. Tech Parks Arizona provides the place, environment, and opportunities to initiate, attract and retain technology companies and talent, in conjunction with the University of Arizona (UA).
